We offer free domestic shipping on all orders over $70.00, and all other shipping is done very near the actual cost.
All orders ship from our office in Nevada City, California, USA.
Orders ship in unprinted plain packaging to help lower the chance of package theft.
Domestic Shipping:
- Free domestic shipping is typically UPS Ground®
- High-value items such as Dyneema® tents will be sent with a signature required to avoid package theft.
- UPS Ground® shipping is typically 1-3 days for the Western US and 4-6 days for the Midwest and East Coast. Remote areas will take longer than metropolitan areas.
- All orders to US PO, APO, and FPO boxes ship via USPS®
- Orders can be shipped “General Delivery” to most US Post Offices (please check with the post office in question) and can be picked up with a photo ID.
- Faster shipping is available via faster UPS® services and USPS Priority Mail®
International Shipping:
- The most reliable and lowest cost international shipping is typically DHL Express® or UPS Worldwide Expedited®. USPS Priority Mail International® or USPS First-Class Mail International® can be used for remote addresses where DHL/UPS costs are prohibitive, but delivery times are often long (1-3 weeks).
- Tarptent does not collect any value-added tax (VAT) or other customs fees. Payments for these taxes/fees are due at delivery in the destination country. Please check the estimated duties and VAT before ordering.
- There are always variabilities in delivery times for international shipments due to customs processing. If you experience a delay due to customs, please get in touch with your local customs authorities before contacting Tarptent.
