Tarptent Repairs

Warranty: Tarptent products are fully guaranteed to the original purchaser against defects. We stand behind every Tarptent and will make every effort to repair or replace products that fail due to defective workmanship or materials. If you have a warranty claim, please contact us.
DIY Repairs: DIY repair materials are typically free, and videos on common repairs are below. If you need repair materials, please contact us with a detailed description and photos of the damage so we can send you the right materials. For repairs that need an exceptional amount of material or packages sent internationally, we may need to invoice you for shipping and/or excess material costs.
Kits: Trail Repair Kits are available for purchase and include a selection of spares and repair materials to bring with you on the trail.
Zipper Problems: The most common cause of zipper problems is zipper sliders spreading apart due to accumulated dust and grit in the zipper coil, unless there is obvious visual damage to the zipper teeth. Zipper sliders can be crimped back together for a quick fix or are easy to replace. If you are the original purchaser, we are happy to send you new ones for free within the US or internationally for just the cost of shipping. Please refer to the slider replacement instructions. Standard sliders can also be ordered here, for both #5 and #3 sizes. We also have no-sewing required snap-on replacement sliders for #3 zippers here.

In-House Repair Service: For larger fixes, we have an at-cost in-house repair service.
- Costs are based on time and materials and can only be assessed after we inspect the item. We will send you a quote for the repair work and return shipping cost before performing the repair work.
- Costs typically range from $30 for small patches or zipper slider replacement to $80 for entire zipper chain replacement or reconstruction of an extensively damaged area.
- Please send only the parts of the tent that need repair, and remove any non-permanent personal add-ons, modifications, and extra guy lines before sending the tent in.
- We will not repair dirty/wet tents. Please clean and dry the parts being sent in fully inside and out. A thorough shake out and wipe down with a damp cloth is usually enough, but dirtier tents should be hand-washed in a bucket/sink with lukewarm water and mild soap such as Woolite.

Please only send the specific parts that need repair. For example, if we are patching a hole in the fly, do not send the interior or poles.

I am only sending in the parts that need repair and understand that sending extra parts will result in higher shipping costs.
