Double wall (mesh or solid wall), dual entry, and dual vestibules.
Substantially more usable floor space and volume than any comparably poled shelter on the market.
Separate living compartment clips up to fly and is completely removable. Can also be set up independently.
Interior never gets wet during entry, exit, setup or takedown in storms.
Roomy with very large vestibules for excellent gear storage space.
Taut pitch with PitchLoc foldable corners.
Reflective spectra cord guylines secured by integrated line tighteners.
Note: Interiors (mesh or solid) are interchangeable and clip in and out from underneath the fly. You may order either interior at a later date, or the “Both” option means that are ordering the fly and two interiors. The solid interior (which has half solid half mesh walls and a solid roof) blocks horizontally blowing wind, sand, snow, and rain; some say it makes the tent up to 10 degrees F warmer. The solid interior adds about 3 oz (85 g) to listed weight.

Do I need trekking poles for general use?
This shelter is designed to be used with trekking poles, but an 8 oz / 227 g alternate pole set is also available for non-trekking pole users. It is also possible to suspend the structure from trees or other overhead supports.
Can I use this for winter?
The structure will withstand light to moderate snow loading. The optional partial solid interior is recommended for cold winds or blowing snow.
Can this shelter really fit two people?
Yes. The interior will widen to fit two standard width sleeping pads (72 in x 20 in / 183 cm x 51 cm). The fly-only set up will easily sleep two.
Are there any additional pullout points for extra staking?
The StratoSpire 1 has attachments for (and ships with) apex guylines to strengthen the ridgeline. It also has fly-top pull-outs which can be guyed out to assist in high winds and for snow loads.
Is this shelter suitable for tall folks?
We’ve found that the maximum comfortable height in the StratoSpire 1 is 6’4″ / 1.93 m.
