How can I make the Rainbow free-standing?
Trekking poles or our alternate pole set can be used to make the shelter free-standing.
Do I need the optional condensation liner?
The liner is useful for cool, damp conditions or anywhere condensation is unavoidable.
Can I stuff the Rainbow to make it smaller?
Yes, if you remove the carbon fiber top strut. The strut and folded arch pole can be stored separately.
Can I use this for winter?
The interior will be cool but the structure is snow load capable, especially when using the grommets up under the cross strut to support vertical trekking /ski poles.
Can the Rainbow really fit two people?
The floor of the Rainbow is 40 in / 102 cm wide, so it accommodates two standard width sleeping pads (72 in x 20 in / 183 cm x 51 cm).
Are there any additional pullout points for extra staking?
Yes, there are additional pullouts on the arch sleeve and perimeter hem.
Does this Tarptent accommodate tall people (over 6 ft 3 in / 190.5 cm)?
Yes, the full floor length (88 in / 223 cm) is usable without running into an end wall.
