Does this tent require seam sealing?
- Yes, this tent utilizes 100% silicone-coated fabrics, which require seam-sealing with the included kit. Please read our buyer’s guide section on seam-sealing for more information and guides.
Do I need trekking poles?
- Yes, or we have substitute poles that are available for purchase separately.
Does this tent accommodate tall people?
- We recommend the Dipole 1+ for people up to 6 ft 8 in / 203 cm.
Is this tent stuffable?
- Yes, the struts are easily packed separately, and the fly and interior are fully stuffable.
Are there additional tie out points for extra staking?
- Yes, this tent comes with apex lines pre-attached, and there are tie out points at the top of each end strut and along the perimeter hem.
Which interior type should I get?
- The full solid interior is recommended for colder conditions. Solid interiors block wind and trap warm air, but obscure the view from inside the tent.Â
- The mesh interior is recommended for warm and/or humid conditions. Mesh interiors allow for maximum ventilation, which helps minimize condensation. The mesh is also transparent and allows you to see out of the tent.Â
Can this tent be freestanding?
- No, this tent is a non-freestanding trekking pole tent.
Do I need a groundsheet?
- Probably not. 30D sil-nylon is very durable compared to most ultralight floor materials, and in most conditions, a groundsheet is just additional weight. A groundsheet is recommended for use on highly abrasive and/or sharp ground, such as on sandstone or when pitching on sharp rocks/sticks.
How do I avoid condensation?
- ALL tents suffer from condensation in the right/wrong conditions but there are steps you can take to limit it. Try to avoid camping overnight in cool, damp environments such as river valleys, meadows, marshes and next to water. If possible, choose an elevated campsite with a bit of a breeze and preferably under a tree canopy. Â Please refer to the Choosing a Better Campsite video to better understand how to avoid condensation.

This is my new favorite shelter! Yes, it is a little heavy, but the features and living space make it more than worth carrying in your pack. It is very packable, and sets up quickly. I am impressed at how secure this tent is with just 4 stakes. But, I often use 6 or 8 depending on the weather. The living space is exceptional for a one person shelter. The ventilation is another area where this tent really shines. Do yourself a favor, and pick one up.

this tent is the perfect replacement for my dipole li when the weather is sour. used almost exclusively in mountains and 3+ seasons it blocks the wind with the solid inner very well, and therefore its much warmer than the breezy li. for summer use i´ld recommend the netting inner tent for better airflow. i love the color, hides nicely in green or grey background.
