Blemished Products

We are very particular about the quality of the Dyneema® Composite Fabric (DCF) we use, and, since DCF is in part made by hand, there are occasionally larger-than-normal “gaps” in the fiber structure, which can cause durability issues. Most companies that sell DCF tents ignore these fiber gaps, as it requires extra inspection time to find them and lowers yield. However, we prefer to inspect for them and add additional DCF tape over them to prevent future issues. This adds only a few grams and has no effect on performance, but makes these tents visually different. As a result, we sell these cosmetically “blemished” tents at a discount. 

Below is a list of the currently available blemished Dyneema tents. To purchase one of these tents, order the non-blemished tent from its product page and use the listed coupon code at checkout. Use of the coupon code will give you the listed discount as well and indicate that you are ordering a blemished version. If the code does not work, it is likely that the product is out of stock. These consist of any cosmetically flawed products we have as a result of factory errors, ex-demos, repaired warranty replacements, imperfect returns, older models, etc. These products are fully functional unless something is specifically mentioned, and they are covered by our full warranty. 

The listed discount applies to the product’s current price at the time of order. During a sale, the discount will apply on top of the sale discount. Fly and interior-only products can be ordered with the desired unblemished parts to make a complete tent, and the discount will apply to the complete tent price.
